LEASGILL TROPHY
Sunday 4th August saw sixteen club members competing for the Leasgill Trophy. The trophy was kindly donated by longstanding members of the club Maureen and Gordon Coleclough. The standard of bowling throughout the afternoon was excellent. The finalists were Susan Ellis and Robin Wharfe with Susan winning the trophy after her results of 21-7; 21-7; 21-13; and 21-8. Many thanks to all who helped to make the afternoon yet another success, and particularly to Vera Alderson, our Club Chair, for running the afternoon.
Below on the left you can see Susan receiving the trophy from our Club Chair Vera Alderson, and on the right is Robin Wharfe receiving his prize as the runner-up.
