The Leasgill Trophy
On Sunday August 6th twenty club members took part in the competition for the Leasgill Trophy. The competition is a straightforward singles knockout. The trophy was kindly presented to the club by Maureen and Gordon Coleclough who were present to watch the standard of bowling and to present the award. The day had mixed weather of sunshine and showers. Congratulations to Colin James who won the trophy once again for the second year in succession. Congratulations also to Louise who won through to the final. The semi-finalists were Vera Alderson and Ian Telford. Once again thanks are due to John Smith, our Club Captain, for organising the event.
